Description: A specialty coffee shop founded by three friends, offering light roast and specialty-grade coffee, housemade food and baked goods, and scratch-made syrups. The interior features a calming, modern palette with indoor plants for sale woven throughout the space alongside lifestyle goods, creating an atmosphere that blends a plant shop with a cafe.
Visitors can expect pour overs, cortados, espresso drinks, and matcha, all prepared with careful attention to quality. The vibe is cozy, quiet, and well-curated, making it a solid spot for reading, light work, or a slow morning stop along the Cherry Rd corridor in Rock Hill.
Comments: If you're into plants, you'll love this place. They're everywhere, all of them are for sale, and I love it. The whole shop smells wonderful as a result, and with plenty of tall windows, it's this combination of good smelling greenery, lots of natural light, and a very chill herbal sort of vibe. It's a small coffee shop but they use every inch of the building well.
There's a good amount of seating, a little gift shop area with trinkets and plants and whatnots, and a leather couch that's solid for lounging with a group of friends. I don't actually drink coffee so I'm no good for providing a review on that, but they have herbal teas that are great, steeped properly, no bag in your cup 👏🏾. They also have pastries, no cinnamon rolls, but the maple crusted pumpkin spice loaf is very good. Oh, and food too, so you can hang out here and get everything you need. Coffee, tea, pastries, food, cold drinks, all of it.
I think this is a solid spot to work from remotely. The natural light keeps things bright and energetic and being surrounded by plants is just nice. The name Flora comes from the Latin word for flower and the Roman goddess of spring and flowering plants, so it's no wonder they leaned all the way into the greenery.
The three women who founded this place (Colleen, Alyssa, and Jillian) started out as a mobile cart at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market before opening this shop. All their syrups are made from scratch in-house. Parking is free. The lot is small, but you can park on the street for free nearby.
