Description: A community-focused, Black and woman-owned coffee shop in Charlotte, NC, known for its thoughtfully crafted beverages, including unique specialty lattes and teas, fresh pastries, and community events. The shop offers a welcoming, cozy atmosphere and provides a gathering space for relaxation, productivity, and connection, with an emphasis on cultural experiences and local community support.

Comments: Re-opened in September 2025 after having to move from their previous location when the brewery they shared space with closed down. They’re now in the spot that used to be Queen City Grounds. There’s plenty of seating thanks to the upstairs loft. If it’s packed downstairs, head upstairs and you should be able to find something. There’s solid outlet access up there too, and some good corners downstairs as well.

What I love most here is the massive selection of loose-leaf teas. There's a reason why "Tea" appears first in the business name. There's well over 20 options, ranging from black to oolong to green to herbal. It'd take some time to try them all, which is an incentive to keep coming back here. As someone that's been to nearly every coffee shop in Charlotte despite not drinking coffee (I go for the vibes), I deeply appreciate this place putting some respeck on tea.

Also, the owner must really love plants because there are plants everywhere. Real ones, the kind that need sunlight and water. It gives the shop a completely different vibe and feel than when it was Queen City Grounds, and I like it. There’s artwork on the walls too, including a mural of flowery-looking stuff on the back wall near the restrooms.

Parking is paid, either on the street or in the garage behind the building that’s shared with the apartments. This is a solid place to work remotely in Uptown. I’d put it up there with Coco and the Director in terms of the layout giving you enough space to find a spot and good access to outlets.
