Description: Founded in 2019 as Millbridge Cake, this business began in a Waxhaw home kitchen focused on creating fresh, less-sweet cakes and desserts inspired by family recipes. After four years of steady word-of-mouth growth, it expanded into Littl Madeleine, a Korean-style cafe offering madeleines, scones, cookies, cheesecakes, and other Korean treats.

At Littl Madeleine, all baked goods are made in small batches using high-quality ingredients, including organic flour, organic sugar, organic milk, organic honey, organic eggs, AA-grade butter, and pure heavy cream. The menu reflects a curated selection of items the team specializes in, with an emphasis on freshness, simplicity, and consistency.

Comments: A standout among the many coffee shops and bakeries in Charlotte. While they don't have cinnamon rolls, they have very unique cheesecakes that are worth trying. On weekends, there always seems to be a few couples on dates here, which make sense. It's got a cute, clean, minimalist aesthetic. All white with subtle pops of color contrasting against an unfinished floor. The kind of interior that TikTok/Instagram influencers would love, and do love, as I've seen a handful here making content. Being "way down" in Ballantyne, it's a hidden gem to most of Charlotte.

It's also laptop friendly with solid outlet access and some small tables fit for one or two. I like that most of the seating is blocked by walls so that you can't see the order area. When people are waiting in line, standing around, checking out the bakery, if you're seated you mostly can't see them. That's such a good interior design thing to me. Reducing visual clutter for guests that want to lounge about.

The item to get here, in my opinion, is the garlic cream cheese bagel. It's very good, I've never seen anything like it anywhere else in the city. They also have a lot of really good herbal teas, the Wildberry Hibiscus and Honey Citron are my favorites.
