Description: Board game cafe and wine bar in southeast Charlotte with a library of modern and classic tabletop games, a full coffee and tea program that includes a reservation only coffee omakase at the bar, and a menu of sandwiches, waffles, gelato, and small sweets.
Guests can reserve time or walk in to play from a curated list of family friendly and strategy games while enjoying espresso drinks, teas, beer, cider, and wine by the glass or bottle. The space is set up with a mix of lounge seating and game tables suited for couples, families, and small groups, and offers free Wi-Fi for light laptop use between turns.
Comments: Very comfortable aesthetic. Dimly lit, well spaced out, not cramped, smells good, usually some soft jazzy music playing in the background, understated lamps on tables, and a bar that serves alcohol but also everything. Food, coffee, loose leaf teas (the Milk Oolong and Peach Paradise are 🔥), cold drinks, whatever you want they got it. Incredibly well done, whoever designed this space.
It’s a board game cafe, so that’s the highlight of the place. You can drop in with no appointment and just grab some food or drink, or you can grab a game table with friends and play one of the many board games they provide. While they have Wi-Fi, I wouldn’t come here to work remotely or study. I mean you could, but it doesn’t fit the vibe. Instead play some games, drink some great tea, or read a book as I’ve done a few times here. I fully support having more of these places in Charlotte!
