Description: Haraz honors our Yemeni heritage—home to the world’s first coffee culture—with beans grown at 3,000+ ft in the mountains of Haraz. As first-generation immigrants, we celebrate coffee’s power to bring people together through tradition and hospitality. Ask a team member for a validation code for up to 4 hours of free garage parking.

Comments: Just as beautiful as the original Charlotte location in Elizabeth, but I give this one a leg up because it's bigger. There's plenty of seating. They've nailed this "modern but not cookie cutter" aesthetic that reflects the Yemeni culture behind the business. The coffee is good. I don’t even drink coffee, but I usually get something when I come here. The red tea is great too.

There’s free street parking, but it's all parallel and pretty limited. Official parking is in the garage owned by the South & Hollis apartment complex. The rates are ridiculous, and they don’t use ParkMobile, they’ve got their own thing. Haraz will validate, but personally, I’d rather park down the street than give some random parking company all my info. But that’s just me, data privacy nerd over here.

In can get packed here during peak times. There's apartments all around and the residents love this place. But if you're a remote worker, this is a chill spot on most weekdays. If you show up in the morning it's usually not that busy and you'll have plenty of seating spots to choose from. Outlet access is solid. The best seating to me is the light brown booth style seats in a corner near the wall with the Yemeni artwork. There's outlets underneath all the seats, padded backs, and a half wall thing with plants on top that block your view of the rest of the shop if you sit on a certain side. Makes you feel nestled in.

This neighborhood, LoSo, has a lot going on now in terms of places to check out. Thousand Hills Coffee and The Everyday Market are right across the street, both great third places. And there’s a ton of other spots within walking distance. Plus, it's right on the train line, so if you live in South End, you don’t even have to drive to get here.
