Description: Neighborhood coffee shop located in an apartment complex. Offers expertly brewed coffee, pastries, and a lofted workspace. The menu consists of traditional & trendy lattes, teas, hot chocolates, & plant-based energy drinks. People are our passion; great coffee is how we meet them!
Comments: There's a story behind this spot. CHNO used to be in Plaza Midwood, before they had to suddenly close down due to beef with their landlord. They then became mobile, before opening in this location, which used to be a Night Swim, at the bottom of the Elan LoSo apartment complex. The location itself is wonderful. Small, but a hidden gem.
Aesthetically, it's posh, elegant, and modern. But say all those words in a French accent. A mix of crisp whites, natural greens with plants here and there, and gold accents on the light fixtures. Bravo to the interior designer of this place. The aesthetic is lovely.
The upstairs area is part of the coffee shop, and it's a gem. It's small, only 3 seating options, but they've adorned the overhang with plants, there's a restroom, it's carpeted, and 2 of the 3 seating options have outlet access. The coziest of cozy nooks. If you can get an upstairs spot, good for you. Downstairs is nice as well, a few two-person tables, couches, and coffee bar seating with outlets.
Parking is tight, it's around the corner in a garage, paid and 2-hour limited. But there's a few street spots (you'll have to parallel park) that are free and not time limited. Overall, a lovely coffee shop. Very kind owner. Talk to her about coffee or teas, she's very knowledgeable.
