Vavela Cafe | Dilworth

Description: A locally owned Turkish café and bistro inside the ground floor of the Lincoln at Dilworth residential building, set across from Atrium Health's main campus and a short walk from East Boulevard. The space is built around Turkish coffee culture, with the signature brews prepared in the traditional Turkish style using beans from a Turkey-based wood-fired roaster, alongside drip coffee, lattes, matcha, and frappés.

The food and dessert menu pulls from Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and European traditions, with brunch plates, paninis like the chicken pesto and halloumi garden, avocado toast, salads and bowls, plus a rotating case of pistachio cakes, kunafa, Dubai chocolate creations, cheesecakes, and éclairs. Modern, plant-accented interiors and a community-hub layout make it a comfortable spot to study, take a meeting, work remotely, or linger over dessert with friends. Extended evening hours give Dilworth a rare late-night option that is neither a bar nor a chain.

Comments: Vavela Cafe's second Charlotte location was announced on January 9, 2026, by Lincoln at Dilworth (the apartment community at 905 Kenilworth Ave) and is currently slated to open in late 2026 inside the ground floor of that building, right across from Atrium Health's main Carolinas Medical Center campus.
