La Greka Coffee Shop

Description: Coffee bar tucked inside Compare Foods, a Latin supermarket on South Blvd, serving espresso drinks, flavored lattes, and Latin-inspired treats from a small counter near the front of the store.

Comments: This is the definition of a hidden gem. You're unlikely to know it exists unless it's mentioned to you, given that it's inside Compare Foods, and even the sign for it isn't terribly visible from the road. As you walk in the store, it's to your right.

The coffee shop has, in addition to all standard coffee options, ice cream, smoothies, pastries, and some food items. But for food, you also have a couple of restaurants inside the store, each of which are great, so you won't go hungry. Seating is in a cafe area that's shared between the coffee shop and the restaurants. Not a ton of space, or outlets, but there's enough to say you're likely to find somewhere to sit if it's not too busy.

This is a great place to work remotely from on a random weekday, as long as you bring noise cancelling headphones. It's usually not that busy, but they do play music throughout the store, so it's by no means quiet. Oh, and if you want to practice your Spanish, this is the place to be. Just about anyone you talk to here will speak Spanish!
