Description: A cozy coffee house in Kannapolis serving fresh coffee, soothing teas, pastries, baked treats, and café sweets in a relaxed neighborhood setting. The menu focuses on coffee drinks, tea, pastries from a local bakery partner, gluten-free options, vegan-friendly choices, and sweet items for breakfast or a casual snack. The space has a warm, welcoming café feel with indoor seating, a community-focused atmosphere, and a comfortable setup for meeting friends, enjoying a quiet moment, studying, working, conversation, and sitting awhile.

Comments: If you’ve ever been to Backyard Brew, this is like that. It’s quite literally a house, and the seating area is the living room, arranged with cozy couches, armchairs, a table here and there, soft lighting, a mellow playlist, and plenty of good smells coming from the kitchen. It doesn’t get more cozy than this.

The walls are covered in artwork and signatures from customers, there are shelves with board games, books, and various trinkets, and there are plants on the handful of tables. It’s a compact space, truly small, but inviting nonetheless. Good vibes all around. It’s owned by a Trinidadian-American who moved to Charlotte from NYC to escape the hustle and bustle, so it makes sense why it's such a calming space.

Outdoors, they have a spacious lawn and patio that’s used for events sometimes, plus covered outdoor seating for hot summer days when you still want to be outside without being personally attacked by the sun. I don’t drink coffee, but I’m sure it’s great. I had a Red Guava Lemonade here once that was amazing though.

In the kitchen, I noticed the fridge they use to hold cold stuff looks like a fridge that would be in someone’s home. Like it’s not a fancy business or industrial fridge, it’s just a fridge. Something about that feels so authentic to me. Grassroots. Homey. The red velvet cookies are really good, and there’s a bakery in the building that’s the source of many of the pastries and no end of good smells. You can find a walkthrough of the space here.
