Description: A public library offering books, audiobooks, movies, digital materials, public computers, printing, and free Wi-Fi. The freestanding brick building has a traditional open library layout with long communal worktables, smaller reading tables, rows of bookshelves, computer stations, a central service desk, and large windows bringing natural light into the main room. A dedicated children’s section, quiet seating throughout the collection, and a closed meeting room used for library programming provide space for reading, studying, laptop work, storytimes, clubs, and community activities for children, teens, and adults.
Comments: It's a library, and it is small. To me, there are no cozy seating spots here. It's either in the middle of the floor where you're surrounded by people, or back in a corner facing a wall while people walk the book shelves behind you. Still, it's a modern library, it's nice, but I don't like the seating arrangements.
That said, this is down the street from Sunflour Baking Company, Rocky River Coffee Co., and Verb Coffee | The Burg Church, so you've got plenty of options in the area if you don't like it here. Also, there's a newish YMCA around the corner. If you have a YMCA membership, you can go to any of them in the Charlotte area. This one is nice.
