Description: A Nashville-founded, Texas-inspired taco shop and café specializing in breakfast and lunch tacos made with fresh, house-pressed flour and corn tortillas. The menu features tacos filled with eggs, bacon, chorizo, smoked brisket, and chicken, alongside house-made salsas, queso, guacamole, salads, bowls, and Mexican street corn. A full-service coffee bar features locally roasted HEX Coffee, espresso drinks, specialty lattes, and house-made caramel, with additional beverages including agua frescas. The casual, community-focused setting combines a scratch kitchen and specialty coffeehouse with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and welcoming hospitality.
Comments: The name would indicate it's just a restaurant but it's also a coffee shop serving Hex Roasters coffee. So its casual, not a wait to be seated sort of place, you order at the counter and find yourself a spot. I've seen mixed crowds here, remote workers and students on laptops, people coming in for lunch just to eat, and everything in between. Free parking, small alley way leads to it in the back.
The tacos are good, not like otherworldly but they're good. This is a nationwide chain with this being their first location in Charlotte. The seating isn't cozy, like there's no couches or armchairs, but it's there. It's like the seating in a Chipotle or Qdoba, it works. And there's some outdoor spots.
