Al Ramleh Roastery

Description: A Palestinian-rooted coffee roastery, dessert bar, and specialty market serving fresh-roasted Arabic and specialty coffee, crêpes, baklava, ma’amoul, chocolates, handcrafted sweets, gummies, premium nuts, and an extensive selection of spices. Comments: Very nice, polished, regal aesthetic in what certainly isn’t a neighborhood matching that theme. A diamond in the rough. A hidden gem, in the most literal sense of the term, is what I’d call this.

The focus here is really on an array of Middle Eastern sweets, treats, foods, nuts, spices, and coffee beans you can purchase for your own purposes. But there’s also a coffee bar where you can order stuff similar to what you’d see at Haraz Coffee. There’s bar-style seating along a long counter by the front window, then a small dining area behind the main thoroughfare.

I really wouldn’t suggest coming here to study or work remotely because of the limited seating and difficulty accessing outlets. Like, this doesn't feel like a place for laptop campers such as myself. But to come check it out with friends, eat and drink for a little while, then keep it pushing, yeah this works. The seating back behind the main area has very cool looking chairs. They're a soft plush gray and are like two big loop things coming together to make a chair. It has character, I like it.

It’s a thoughtfully designed space. Towards the back you can see the roastery part with them making spices and coffee, which is cool to just stand and watch. It smells good. The parking lot is small, but there are random stores throughout the area where you might be able to park if you can’t find a spot out front.
