The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen

Description: An indoor-outdoor pickleball, dining, and entertainment complex in Cornelius with pickleball courts, Topgolf Swing Suites, a full-service restaurant, bar, café, lounge areas, event space, and community programming. The café serves coffee, smoothies, breakfast items, baked goods, and quick bites, while the restaurant offers brunch, salads, bowls, sandwiches, flatbreads, shareable appetizers, entrées, kids’ meals, and drinks in an upscale casual setting. The space is designed for more than sports, with places to sit, eat, work, talk, watch games, attend events, and spend time before or after playing. Good for pickleball, coffee, casual meals, remote work, social hangouts, group outings, family visits, Topgolf-style simulator games, leagues, clinics, tournaments, and private events.

Comments: This is like Rally Pickleball on steroids. It’s huge, and locally owned by 2 entrepreneurs from the greater Charlotte area. There’s a restaurant, a coffee shop, a bar, more pickleball courts than I was able to count, and a ton of seating. You don't have to play pickleball to hangout here. You can just visit the various spaces within.

The restaurant-area seating is marked by silverware wrapped in napkins being on those tables. All other seating is free game. The coffee shop, which they call “cafe” on the signage, has bar-style seating, plus some tables and chairs tucked behind the coffee bar facing the indoor pickleball courts. There’s free Wi-Fi, so you can hang out on your laptop and get some work done.

There’s of course food and drink. The coffee isn’t anything incredible, but the coffee shop has cinnamon rolls, which I consider to be the most important thing about this whole place. They have cinnamon rolls. What more do you need to know? They have cinnamon rolls. Praise be 🙌🏽
