The Photo Outfitters

Description: The Photo Outfitters is a community focused camera shop and film lab offering new and used gear, film developing, darkroom and studio rentals, and photography classes for all levels. It doubles as a hangout spot for local photographers, with a living room style seating area where people can meet, talk shop, and plan their next shoot.

Comments: If you're into photography, this is your third place. The owners quite literally used the words "third place" when discussing what they want the space to be on this podcast. The heart of the space is the lounge area, with a deep blue couch, coffee table, walls full of framed prints, and a big world map dotted with pins where photos were taken.

You're welcome to sit, ask questions, and stay a while without buying a thing. They host meetups, classes, gallery nights, and gear events, so the space is constantly rotating between shop, classroom, and clubhouse for Charlotte’s photography crowd.
