Comments: Same company as Platform Coffee + Kitchen but this is a different location in Matthews. Not much in the way of food options (hence the name Platform Coffee, not Coffee + Kitchen) but they have pastries, including rather good cinnamon rolls 🙌🏾🔥. There’s plenty of seating despite being a medium sized space, with good access to outlets at seats along the walls. It’s attached to New City Church internally, so they’re closed on Sundays, but any other day you’re good to go.

Visually, it’s an industrial chic aesthetic, with the typical unfinished floor, but they go for black tables and chairs with blue and green pops of color here and there, rather than the all white doctor’s office look many similar spots prefer. Nothing standout, but it’s a nice place.

If you read the comments on this website, you’ll notice I never talk about the quality of coffee at places. I don’t drink coffee, I’m an herbal tea guy, and I stay in my lane. They have some solid herbal tea options here, so I was happy. I’m sure the coffee is great though, check the Google Maps reviews for more there.
