Belmont Bookshop

Description: We are Belmont Bookshop, a community-focused bookshop and gathering space located on historic Main Street in Belmont, NC about 15 miles south of Charlotte in Gaston County. Come on in and stay a while!

Comments: A community submission. They have game nights, book clubs, space to hang out, coffee, alcohol, etc. It’s a proper small local bookstore, complete with the decor and trappings typically associated with such, as in it feels very authentic.

The seating is mostly individual chairs interspersed throughout for easy sit & read access. There’s Wi-Fi but I think you’re better off enjoying the bookstore vibes here than trying to whip out your laptop and work (limited outlet access). There’s a lovely gentle dog that hangs around the shop sometimes as well. A good boy indeed.
