Description: A locally rooted coffee shop set inside Lake Forest Church, serving espresso drinks, artisanal lattes, cold brew, matcha, chai, loose-leaf tea, pastries, and other light bites. The spacious interior features a coffee bar, varied seating areas, warm wood and stone finishes, and a cozy fireplace, with additional seating outdoors. The relaxed, community-focused setting provides plenty of room for conversation, reading, meetings, or simply spending time over coffee.

Comments: It’s inside Lake Forest Church, but it has its own corner with an entrance that takes you straight into the coffee shop, so you won’t accidentally wander into a service. The setup is very cozy and warm. There’s an area behind the coffee counter with very comfortable lounge chairs by a fireplace that I like sitting at, plus an outdoor patio with plenty of seating and a prayer garden that’s set up nicely for meditation. There’s even a corner with an extension cord so you can charge up while sitting by the fireplace, which usually isn’t running, but aesthetically, it’s still nice.

Overall, the seating is just comfy. It doesn’t have a typical coffee shop setup, which makes sense since it’s inside a church. There are also 2 large conference rooms that usually aren’t booked, so you can expand into those if needed. No real worries about finding somewhere to sit here. Good job to whoever designed this church too. Unlike some I’ve been to, it feels like they actually want people to hang out here rather than show up for service, give an offering, then shuffle out because everyone’s busy.

I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t tell you if it’s good, but they had loose leaf tea, which I deeply appreciated. The music was good too. A mix of Christian music, but also clean folk, indie, soft rock, singer-songwriter, all sorts of good stuff.
