Melagrana Café

Description: A neighborhood café and bakery serving coffee, espresso drinks, tea, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in a relaxed storefront setting. The interior has a clean, modern feel with café seating and a pastry display showcasing a rotating selection of sweets and desserts. Savory options and light bites round out the menu alongside the coffee and bakery offerings.

Comments: Very nice peppermint aesthetic to the place, except replace the red of peppermint with the deeper red of a pomegranate. Color-wise, it’s bright with white walls mixed with deep ruby red chairs and accent colors throughout the space.

The chairs are comfy too. Not lounge chairs, but also not the hard metal chairs all the industrial chic coffee shops around town seem to go for. It’s certainly a place you could hang out for a while, meet some friends, bring your laptop, study, or work remotely. Access to outlets is great from the single-sided booth-style seating that makes up most of the space.

It’s one long hallway of single-sided booth seating, with a few lounge chairs at the far end and a big table for larger groups near the entrance. Plenty of seating to feel comfortable you'll always be able to find a place to sit. There are pastries in addition to your standard coffee options, including the matcha lattes everyone loves. I don’t drink coffee, so I don’t know how it tastes, but everyone looked happy when I was there, so I’d say it was good.
