Qahwah House

Description: A family-owned Yemeni coffee house serving traditional preparations such as Adeni chai, mofawar, Jubani coffee, Sana’ani coffee, qishr, and Yemeni lattes alongside espresso drinks, matcha, teas, pastries, cakes, and Yemeni sweets. The warm, modern interior blends contemporary café design with Yemeni-inspired décor, cultural displays, rich patterns, and comfortable seating throughout the space. Qahwah House sources organic Arabica beans from the Al-Hasbani family’s farms in Yemen, drawing on eight generations of coffee-growing tradition.

Comments: Pristine vibes, immaculate aesthetic, very bright and airy. If you’ve been to Haraz in Elizabeth this place is similar, but bigger. It’s Yemeni owned, so the culture, coffee, and aesthetic of the shop reflects that in a beautiful way. The Khaliat Nahal (Honeycomb Bread) is incredible, it's somehow not as sweet as you'd think, but just sweet enough. Qahwah means coffee in Arabic, so the literal translation of this place is Coffee House.

Great place to study or work remotely. Access to outlets is excellent from the long single-sided booth row. It's a large space, so you don't feel like you're crammed in, and the outdoor patio is a nice place to hang out in the sun on a warm day. The tea options are great, and the coffee I'm sure. Not a coffee person but I've heard good things from those who are. Parking is the worst thing about this place. There are so many other businesses in the area, the lot is small, you will almost always be fighting for a spot unless you arrive right at open. You might have to drive around to find an option.
