Description: A specialty coffee roastery and café in Plaza Midwood serving house-roasted coffee, espresso drinks, nitro cold brew, tea, matcha, chai, smoothies, pastries, breakfast items, quiche, breakfast burritos, and empanadas. The space has seating across two levels, including indoor seating, outdoor picnic tables, an upstairs lounge, and patio areas, with the roasting equipment visible inside the café.

The atmosphere blends a neighborhood coffee shop, working roastery, casual food spot, and community gathering space with events such as yoga mornings, run club, and local collaborations. Good for coffee, breakfast, empanadas, laptop work, casual meetups, outdoor seating, and spending time in a lively Plaza Midwood café.

Comments: One of the best remote work spots in Charlotte, without question. Two levels, and between them you have plenty of space to plop down and hang out. Access to outlets is tremendous, 10/10. You should have no issues staying charged up. Everything you need for the day is here. Coffee, tea, pastries, hot food, cold drinks, and even alcohol later in the day.

Parking is free, the lot is small, but it's there, which is a big deal for Plaza Midwood. The empanadas are made in-house and are the pride of the business, made by a dedicated chef, not a casual thing at all to them. Everything else on the menu is great as well. If you visit on a weekday, you'll see remote workers and students camped out with their laptops in every corner, and there's always enough space for everyone to enjoy it.

Upstairs is my favorite area, especially the outdoor patio (with outlets!) on a warm day. Also, they have restrooms upstairs, and a mini bar that's open sometimes, so once you're up there, you can just camp out and enjoy. There's artwork all over the walls from local artists, so be sure to slow down and check some of it out. Sometimes there's a really sweet and gentle service dog here. The crowd is more than just remote workers, groups of friends hang out here, people come on dates, it's just everything a third place should be. All of The Giddy Goat locations get that right. They're set up for you to stay a while, and I love it.
