Description: Change Please is where social enterprise and coffee expertise blend. We train and employ people experiencing homelessness as baristas and put 100% of our profits towards giving our employees fair wage jobs, housing, therapy support, childcare, healthcare, onward job opportunities and more.
Comments: Top tier spot for working outside. Great view of Uptown, most of the seating has shade, and there’s plenty of greenery. Very nice setup overall. It might be even better as a place to close the laptop and read a book. The vibes with the plants and shade and nice view are relaxing.
Indoors, it has an industrial chic feel, which is fitting because it is connected to an industrious operation called the Innovation Barn. There's plenty of space to sit. Not a ton of outlets, but there is a long strip in the center for people to huddle around if they need to plug in.
I don't drink coffee so I can't speak to the quality here, but they have herbal teas 💯. They're bagged but of a higher quality than your standard Bigelow bags. Most importantly, every dollar you spend here goes to help people experiencing homelessness. You can feel good about both the space and where your money is going. Be sure to walk around the larger building and check out the Innovation Barn. There is a lot of cool stuff going on inside.
