Comments: Plenty of seating, enough spots with outlets to feel relatively comfortable about being able to plug in if you’re coming to work or study. All the standard coffee shop options, but they stand out for their sweet treats, specifically the ice cream. It’s wonderful.

Cool quirky aesthetic blended with upscale industrial chic vibes. Artwork from local musicians on the walls, Indie/alternative playlist, mismatching chair and pillow colors. It’s well designed for sure.

I’m sure the coffee is great, but I’m a tea guy, so I love that they properly steep their herbal teas here. Instead of the typical coffee shop routine of rushing hot water over a bag and calling it a day, this place opts for true tea tradition, steeping the leaves at the right temperature based on their type.

White teas are best steeped around 160°F to 180°F for 2 to 4 minutes. Green teas shine at 175°F to 185°F for 1 to 3 minutes. Black teas need a hotter brew, closer to 200°F to 212°F for 3 to 5 minutes. They understand that here. Bravo to them. Waterbean is one of the few other places in Charlotte that does as well.
